As Hayward observes, yesterday’s front page New York Times story about Pope Francis’s actions to bring liberation theology out of the shadows, a subject I’ve I’ve written about before. But in typical NYT fashion, the reporter fails to even seriously consider the deep Marxist undertones of liberation theology, much less what the Pope’s embrace of it might portend. OVER THINKING THE ISSUE? Was tenure ever a good idea? Were there ever these steady, good paying stable jobs for recent graduates? Do unions for government workers make sense in the first place. Maybe we're seeing the unwinding of a system that led inevitably to economic stagnation, slow growth and a declining standard of living.
WHERE THE CHURCH IS TODAY:Comments are relevant.
THER'S SOMETHING TO THIS:Actually mainline Protestant churches are in to something called "social justice" which no one can define or explain.
FOX SPEAKS TO THE CHOIR:And the choir is not so large. Barone does Media Matters work for the right but because he won't lie he's not as effective.
