Von Mises for liberals

Of all places this article explaining the Austrian School's economic prescription for any depression/recession appears on the loopy, loony Huffington Blog which typically would prescribe exactly the opposite.  Of course for anyone wondering why we are mired in a no-growth economy with 10.5% underemployment plus 7%plus labor department unemployment statistics has only to come to grips with what the Austrians have been saying forever about Keynesian solutions and the attendant government intervention in the economy to know that is what prolongs recessions and makes things worse not better.  And yet all administrations, Republican and Democrat, keep trying to buy us out of recession/depressions by spending money after printing it up, keep adding to the national debt, keep digging the hole deeper and deeper while cheapening the currency and ensuring that the next recession/depression will be worse than the last one.  The definition of insanity applies here.

Obama's contribution to racial disharmony

Jack Cashill is an investigative journalist unknown to most of America.  Unknown because he is fearless and mostly takes on controversial subjects and topics, like Obama's birth certificate, subjects that MSM won't touch with ten foot poles.  In this investigative piece he explores Obama's "contribution" to racial disharmony in this country.  For anyone familiar with the Trayvon-Zimmerman murder trial what Cashill has to say about that and other racial events is sadly revealing.  Obama is a one-man political wrecking machine who does and will do anything to secure his base of voters.  If that means stirring up racial animosity between blacks and whites, well that's too bad, must keep the 95% support of the black voting bloc on the plantation.  This is a very cynical and I believe, accurate view of what motivates this strange person who is the president of the United States.

Why Hillary must run and win in 2016

For a perfect statement of the liberal's world view, this article in The Daily Beast, by Michael Tomasky, is a nonpareil example.  The progressive/socialist agenda is a straight-forward one: keep raising taxes and expanding the reach and influence of the federal government because the other side is comprised largely of selfish rich people who have too much of the national wealth.  It really isn't much more complicated than that.  The Clintons are perfect leaders of the progressive movement because while they have become insanely wealthy by tapping into all manner of opportunities for milking the liberal rich who are into assuaging their guilt for being so rich, they of course have only the interest of the downtrodden and poor always in mind.  Aren't the rest of us lucky to have them?  That is the message of Mr Tomasky and he speaks for the liberal media and all the other statists who believe that the private sector, while perhaps a necessary evil, must be tightly controlled and managed for the benefit of the common good.  This has been the mantra of socialists since the dawn of the industrial revolution and the creation of wealth producing business enterprises.
