The left is committed to not just opposing everything Trump says but everything he represents. In the article the personalities at CNN all claim to want to hear all sides of the story but that it's difficult because the pro Trump people lie so much. This statement belies their claim to objectivity since the assumption is only one side of the political divide lies making it impossible to present the whole argument fairly. Ironically, these faux newspeople don't realize that by condemning only one side as liars, they are betraying their own deep-seated bias and accounting for their universal condemnation of all things Trump. Sadly they are prospering, for the moment, as never before.

He might, might, see that Trump represents, at this time in history, our best chance of resisting and turning back the cancerous growth of the administrative state, a growth that has been growing steadily since Woodrow Wilsons progressive administration. Unfortunately this will not happen because Stevens now has what hen has always sought, the approval of the liberals and a platform that allows him to reinforce the moral superiority of the progressive movement. Stevens, a young man in his early forties, is finally on the Obama "right side of history'" team, the one that leads directly to socialism and the fate of Cubans, Venezuelans and all the other victims of the siren call of a perfect world made perfect by the enlightened policies of an enlightened cadre of government planners and edicts. Welcome to a more perfect version of the USSR.
