ZEILER IS A BRAVE MAN: This film supports the theory that Clinton's negligence was responsible for 9/11.

A VALUABLE POST ON CITY JOURNAL: This publication is a national resource in these times of mostly bad journalism. And here is an additional one: This interview with the current editor of City Journal.  These are two separate interviews, both excellent if you like real journalism.

INTERESTING ANALYSIS OF WAR: In other words we need to be more resolute to get the job done. Pretty much the opposite of Obama will do.

ROGER KIMBALL'S DEAD RIGHT: A sorded history indeed. We need to start all over with these bastions of political correctness led by weak-kneed enablers of childish nonsense.  Withdraw all government support from education, most especially student loans, an let the free market sort things out.  Otherwise we'll have more of the same until the silly people run everything into the ground irrevocably.

STEYN'A FED UP: Who in their right mind would disagree???

INTERESTING HISTORY:  It's all about German genius.

THIS IS WHAT TOTALITARIANS DO:
An innocent man lost his job. Racial tensions are at an all time high. Faculty members refuse to acknowledge students’ First Amendment rights. Campus authorities are policing speech.
This is my reality as a student at the University of Missouri.
I believe in liberty for all people, but the current climate on campus runs counter to that. Some friends tell me they are afraid to voice their opinions lest they come under fire from the administration or peers – or the police.
The University of Missouri police department sent an email urging students to report offensive or hurtful speech – not because it is illegal – but so the Office of Student Conduct could take disciplinary action against these students.
Several of us are afraid to disagree with other students, who in turn may report us to the authorities so we can be “dealt with.” Many students have told me they are also afraid to speak out against the protest narrative, afraid they will be called “racist” and become campus pariahs.
What’s lost is honest dialogue.
Well, believe me, that’s the last thing the protesters are looking for. They want submission.

FINALLY, A PUSHBACK: These young people (the authors) will find jobs when they retire.

These schools are turning out all the radicals like Obama and friends.THE GULAGS ARE HERE IN U.S.:

THIS IS THE FUTURE: It's going to get ugly, very ugly.

EXACTLY RIGHT:  Congrats to the left.  They're getting just what the wanted. Chaos and transformation of the society.  It took Obama 7 years, but he's close to winning.

VIDEO FOR LIBS:  Not that it would make any difference at all.

RACISM IS IN THE MIND OF THE BEHOLDER:  It's all about attitude of the individual.

RAPE STATS IN THE US:  Don't see much written about this, do we?

CONTINUITY WITH THE 1960'S:  There's something to this POV

FRAUD ALERT: The grievance industry makes for strange bedfellows.  And here's another one:devouring its own. the movement is devouring its own.

ALL A PART OF A PLAN:  Obama's buddy Ayers is a player in all this. Anyone wonder why corporations want to move plant abroad and why college degrees don't mean much anymore?

THE GOLDEN STATE: You can have it, much as i like my pals there.

DEPRESSING AND WORRISOME: The ultimate result of runaway liberalism. The inmates are in charge and the outcome is going to be ugly…very ugly.

THE PROBLEM IS WHO CARES ANYMORE?: Liberals willfully ignore all this and it's leading us to perdition.

WHAT LIBERAL EDUCATION'S COME TO: This is what you get for 66,500 for one year at Yale?   Liberal arts schools are officially a waste of time.  Why bother.  The radicals are and have been in charge since the '60's and what you get is a pampered and indulged group of "people of color" who know they can get attention and results because of their protected rights as people of color.  The first reform here should be to require all prospective students sign an agreement that they will at all times behave in a civilized manner which I would define as respecting the views of others.  This means discussions and not shouting, it means respectfully hearing out the views of others, and it means no demonstrations of any sort on campus without clearance from school authorities.  If you do not agree to these terms in writing your admission will not be accepted to the university.  I also would require that all students on scholarship be required to work a set number of hours for the university. Just to make sure they learn nothing comes free.  I would also require all students take a course in the history of the founding documents and personalities of this country.  Finally maybe adding a few conservative professors to the faculty would be helpful.

WE'RE LOOKING AT THE NEW JACOBIANS; Make no mistake, that's where we're headed.

MORE ON YALE "STUDENTS": It should be embarrassing to the admissions people above all. They are accepting the wrong people for the wrong reasons.

A STUDENT MAKING SENSE SPEAKS OUT: The root cause of all this is black -- not white -- racism. It's inbred and thee is no cure.

GOOD EXPLANATION OF WEALTH CREATION: Because most people don't have a clue. We may be returning to the '30's.

WWII, LESSONS LEARNED?: At least they have no war-making capability thanks to the U.S.

CRONY CAPITALISM FROM A SOCIALIST:

Cronyism: For the Likes of Google, It is Really, REALLY Good to be a Friend of Obama

RecommendedRecommend
If President Barack Obama doesn’t like you – his government tends to make your life really, REALLY miserable. Ask Tea Party and conservative groups – when Obama’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) isn’t harassing them, it is allowing them to endlessly languish unapproved. Ask reporters who report things in ways the President doesn’t like – his government spies on and investigates them. Ask the coal industry – Obama’s administration is unilaterally regulating it out of existence. And on, and on, and…
But President Obama doesn’t have to specifically dislike you. He need only prefer your regulatory opponent – and at their behest he will make your life really, REALLY miserable. To wit: the Tech sector.

The Administration’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in February – via Title II Reclassification and Network Neutrality – unilaterally declared itself the pernicious overlord of all Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Is it because he dislikes the likes of Comcast and Time Warner? It would be difficult to think so.
In fact, Comcast is melded with…NBC. Which means NBC News. Included therein is the completely ridiculous MSNBC and the freshly ridiculous CNBC. How on Earth could President Obama dislike them?
He could – if a bigger Crony asked him to do so. Behold: Google.
Seton Motley | Red State | RedState.com
Google spent most of the 2000s pushing mightily for Net Neutrality. Because it forces ISPs to give mega-bandwidth-hog-companies like Google (and Facebook and Amazon) unlimited Internet service – for free. It doesn’t get much more Crony than that.
Net Neutrality went nowhere legislatively. Because Americans have a very difficult time believing the free speech-free market Xanadu that is the Internet – is in dire need of fundamental transformation. Prior to Election 2010, 95 Democrats signed a pro-Net Neutrality pledge – all 95 lost. The group responsible for the pledge – raised on it a whopping $300. It was a dead issue.
Until the Age of Obama. President Obama has a proven track record of not caring a whit about what We the People want. We were opposed to the 2009 “Stimulus” (it in fact incepted the Tea Party movement) – the president gave it to us anyway. We were (and remain) opposed to ObamaCare – the president gave it to us anyway.
So We the People started electing Republican Congressional majorities – to demonstrate and embody our opposition. What was the Crony Administration to do? It simply stopped using Congress. And started unilaterally issuing executive fiats to impose things we didn’t like – but the Cronies did. Like Net Neutrality – for Google.
But the Title II Reclassification is a HUGE power grab. It gives the Obama Administration sudden (highly dubious) uber-authority over the ENTIRE Internet – not just ISPs. Which means the likes of Google also fall under its monstrous thumb – if it chooses to press down its digit. Does the Crony Administration do so? Of course not.
In case you were unsure – Google is an “edge provider.”
No one – NO ONE – tracks you like Google. Tracking you – and then selling you and what you do online – is just about their entire trillion-dollar-business-model. The Crony Administration certainly wouldn’t put a stop to that.
What happens when government regulates the living daylight out of one part of a sector – and leaves another utterly unfettered?
Shocker.
The Cronies ask – the Crony Administration delivers. It is, as always, really, REALLY good to be a friend of Obama.

VENEZUELA: THE LEVELERS FUTURE: This history will ill repeat itself forever.

WHO'S KIDDING WHOM?: Wapo as a judge of honesty? Don't think so. They wallow in the tank.

SOWELL'S RIGHT AGAIN: There will never be progress in the inner city schools until the pc crowd goes away and discipline is asserted.

PROGRESSIVES AT IT AGAIN: Will they ever go away?

JW ON THE CASE: This woman is behind everything that Obama does and her history and connections are well documented. Her involvement as a Chicago slum lord is also well documented. How long does this stuff go on before we have a serious intervention??

TOOK A BAD SITUATION AND MADE IT MUCH WORSE:  That gets us the donald to put humpty-dumty together again, maybe.

EMAILS PROVE IT: Hillary's an inveterate and lousy liar.

FRUSTRATION WITH REGULATORS: Who hasn't experienced bureaucratic nonsense?  It wasn't always like this: James madison would deal with it like this

MORE ON MAPES AND LIES: Mapes and Rather are birds of a feather. They be ashamed and stay out of public view after this farce of a film is shown. Of course they won't.   Additional and devastatingly factual evidence of fraud is revealed in  a very important link to a man who knew from the beginning the whole thing was fraudulent.

MEDIA BIAS: Like the man says, it does exist.

WHAT'S LIBERAL ARTS STUDY COME TO: No  end for starters. Actually it is now the home of every leftwing kook, pretend Phd professor who hates history.

SADLY THIS EVIDENCE WILL LEAD TO NOTHING:  That's because there are no honest, moral democrats left on the face of the earth. Certainly none in Congress.

HIL AND OBAMA AS RELUCTANT BEDFELLOWS: Birds of a feather, flock together kind of thing..

COMPELLING ANALYSIS OF HILLARY'S TESTIMONY RE BENGHAZI: The media is shamefully covering for her ineptitude and dishonesty.  In a world where integrity and character mattered, this woman would never rise above clerical status.  Her husband either.

WORRIED ABOUT INEQUALITY? Then think charter schools.

ROTHBARD ON FRS: Too bad more people don't understand this man and the Austrian School in general.

THE MOST CORRUPT MEMBER OF CONGRESS: Cummings and ilk are the biggest reason why democracies eventually always fail.

IT'S ALL ABOUT GETTING SNOOKERED: Where's the Tea Party these days. Compromised, is where.

THIS IS ABOUT BEING INFORMED: Democracy doesn't stand a chance with a clueless electorate.

EXAMPLE OF DECEITFUL NYTIMES REPORTING: A proven distortion of reality. With the Times that is par for the course.  Fraudulent reporting is exposed here. And here.

FOR THE HISTORY REVISIONISTAS THIS IS THE RECORD.
The comments appear to signal acknowledgment by the Obama administration that its strategy against the Islamic State has had limited success. Last month, General Lloyd Austin, the head of U.S. Central Command, said the $500 million American effort to train 5,400 troops had resulted in some “four or five” fighters still in the field. Carter announced this month the U.S. was looking at other ways to train support the rebels.
Carter’s remarks Tuesday appear to reflect a change in strategy by the Obama administration whose national-security advisers have recommended that U.S. troops be moved closer to the front lines in Iraq and Syria, according to The Washington Post. . . .
On Friday, commenting on an operation in Iraq to rescue dozens of prisoners held by the Islamic State that resulted in the death of an American serviceman, Carter said: “I expect we’ll do more of this sort of thing,” he said, before adding: “It doesn’t represent us entering the combat role.”
U.S. troops left Iraq in 2011, and remain there in an advisory role.
No combat, just a few advisors. Where have I heard that before? And I suppose I should repeat my Iraq War history lesson: Things were going so well as late as 2010 that the Obama Administration was bragging about Iraq as one of its big foreign policy successes.
In the interest of historical accuracy, I think I’ll repeat this post again:
[Y]ou certainly can make a persuasive argument it was a mistake. But there is a time that line going along that Bush and the other people lied about this. I spent 18 months looking at how Bush decided to invade Iraq. And lots of mistakes, but it was Bush telling George Tenet, the CIA director, don’t let anyone stretch the case on WMD. And he was the one who was skeptical. And if you try to summarize why we went into Iraq, it was momentum. The war plan kept getting better and easier, and finally at the end, people were saying, hey, look, it will only take a week or two. And early on it looked like it was going to take a year or 18 months. And so Bush pulled the trigger. A mistake certainly can be argued, and there is an abundance of evidence. But there was no lying in this that I could find.
Plus:
Woodward was also asked if it was a mistake to withdraw in 2011. Wallace points out that Obama has said that he tried to negotiate a status of forces agreement but did not succeed, but “A lot of people think he really didn’t want to keep any troops there.” Woodward agrees that Obama didn’t want to keep troops there and elaborates:
Look, Obama does not like war. But as you look back on this, the argument from the military was, let’s keep 10,000, 15,000 troops there as an insurance policy. And we all know insurance policies make sense. We have 30,000 troops or more in South Korea still 65 years or so after the war. When you are a superpower, you have to buy these insurance policies. And he didn’t in this case. I don’t think you can say everything is because of that decision, but clearly a factor.
We had some woeful laughs about the insurance policies metaphor. Everyone knows they make sense, but it’s still hard to get people to buy them. They want to think things might just work out, so why pay for the insurance? It’s the old “young invincibles” problem that underlies Obamcare.
Obama blew it in Iraq, which is in chaos, and in Syria, which is in chaos, and in Libya, which is in chaos. A little history:

As late as 2010, things were going so well in Iraq that Obama and Biden were bragging. Now, after Obama’s politically-motivated pullout and disengagement, the whole thing’s fallen apart. This is near-criminal neglect and incompetence, and an awful lot of people will pay a steep price for the Obama Administration’s fecklessness.
Plus, I’m just going to keep running this video of what the Democrats, including Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton, were saying on Iraq before the invasion:
Because I expect a lot of revisionist history over the next few months.
And who can forget this?

Yes, I keep repeating this stuff. Because it bears repeating. In Iraq, Obama took a war that we had won at a considerable expense in lives and treasure, and threw it away for the callowest of political reasons. In Syria and Libya, he involved us in wars of choice without Congressional authorization, and proceeded to hand victories to the Islamists. Obama’s policy here has been a debacle of the first order, and the press wants to talk about Bush as a way of protecting him. Whenever you see anyone in the media bringing up 2003, you will know that they are serving as palace guard, not as press.
Plus: Maybe that Iraq withdrawal was a bad thing in hindsight. Obama’s actions, if not his words, suggest that even he may think so.

ANOTHER SEQUEL TO NAIL STORY: Once in a blue moon NYTimes gets a story right ---this is not one of those times.  Read the Times at your own peril.

VDH TRENCHANT OBSERVATIONS: A scary but dead on look at where we are in history from a conservative historian.

OBAMACARE CRAZINESS: This thing is worse than Hillarycare which was terrible.

WONDERFUL DESCRIPTION OD THE DONALD ANS THE ELECTORATE: Captures the essence of the Trump movement exactly. The analogy is perfect.

REQUIRED READING BY WESTERNERS: The truth of any religion is measured by how it proposes women are treated by society.

SERIOUS HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE: Here's a nongovernmental initiative worth watching carefully.

CONSERVATISM AND CIVIL RIGHTS:  A clear exposition of this issue. Conservative intransigence lost the black vote and may have led to where we are today in race relations and the growth of the welfare state.  It was a tough call back then but conservatives got it wrong.

CLEARLY A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR: Impossible to imagine a worse person to lead this country. We really must do something about the school system and the irresponsible parenting that goes on and leads to this people like the Clintons rising to the top in our society.

GREAT DISCUSSION W/PL PRINCIPALS AND LAW PROF: This a really important discussion for everyone to understand the new administrative state. PL and this professor are doing very important work exposing the fraud of the Obama administration and the go along republicans like the Bush administration.

A DEFINITIVE FISKING OF CLINTON TESTIMONY: The so-called "brilliant" testimony is nothing more than a bunch of lies.  Very lad she's not my candidate.  Her lies and obfuscations are simply breathtaking to listen to and read.  Odds are she'll survive b/c her followers don't care and a big slug of the other voters don't have time or inclination to get into the weeds to understand just how perfidious this woman's story is.

PATHETIC BUNCH OF LIARS: Hildabeast to jail, the rest fired and shunned for life.

WHAT SANDERS AND TRUMP HAVE IN COMMON: They both subscribe to and promote crony capitalism.

RELATED: The interventionists are simply ignorant or confused about how the free market disciplines.

EXCELLENT EXPLANATION OF FIAT MONEY: Straight from the Austrian School. The Austrians predicted everything  this writer describes which is why the believed ardently that the gold standard was critical to money value.

PARENTING IS NOT EASY: In fact it's very hard.

MEDIA DISTORTION: This goes on daily in MSM. It's called left wing propaganda.

IT'S THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS: Which is the argument I'd be making were I them.

STEYN ON MUSLIMS: The PC beat goes on and on where it stops may be a disaster.

KOCH BROTHERS TO THE RESCUE: Encouraging program for small government repubs.

AH YES SCIENTISTS!: Follow the money and expose the hoax.

SHILLER IS HOPELESS: IT IS TIRESOME TO HEAR THESE clowns carry on with their Nobel prizes and all.

TREY GOWDY UP AGAINST THE MACHINE: We'll have to see how he holds up after these evildoers finish their work.  Cummings has no integrity never has.  He's a black Civil Rights guy who walked with MLK and has cashed in on that history  ever since.  Basically he is what we have come to expect from democrats, especially once they are in the minority.  It is guaranteed his abject failure once and for all to perform his constitutional responsibility will never see the light of day in the MSM, in the tank for the Hildabesast.  The only members of congress with any integrity is a handful of republicans, Trey Gowdy among them.  These Augean stables have to be cleaned out.

SADLY ITS COME TO THIS: And it won't change until liberals are driven from office and positions of policy making.

CRIME AND INCARCERATION: This study should change conventional thinking on this racially inflamed subject. Heather MacDonald for president for her work on this subject distorted by racists blacks and their white enablers called liberals.

BERNIE WILL HAVE US ALL POOR AGAIN: ITS WHAT SOCIALISM DOES BEST: MAKES ALL PEOPLE POOR.

A PROGRAM THAT WORKS:  The very program all this lib charities should be developing instead of…..

MISLEADING HISTORICAL ANALYSIS: This piece deserves serious fisking.

MARGARET THATCHER AND WINSTON CHURCHILL: History-making heavyweight duo for whom we should be grateful.

IT NEVER ENDS: Terrorism belongs to the arabs and the Obama administration.

SHOCKING: This little idyll state is on the cliff's edge.

AN HISTORIAN TO BELIEVE IN: Robert Conquest was instrumental in bringing down the Evil Empire.  Remarkable historian who exposed the USSR or Evil Empire.

BANKRUPTCY AS THE SOLUTION?: Williamson thinks so..

TYPICAL TIMES REPORTING: Deeply embarrassing and disturbing.

HEART ATTACKS AND MENTAL BREAKDOWNS COMING: Some "scientists" and professors need medical intervention.

RINOS VERSUS TEA PARTY: David Brooke typifies establishment republicans.

TROUBLING COMBINATION: Crony capitalism at work via Google.

ENTERING ANOTHER RECESSION? Either that or another stagflation period of no growth like Japan.

GOOD POINT: Feckless democrats are all alike.

DENMARK'S BACKING AWAY FROM SOCIALISM: While democrats embrace it.

WHAT HUBRIS MEANS: Power corrupts unless accompanied by humility.

CREEPY NEW WORLD ORDER: A bit scary world we're moving into.

THE REGULATORY STATE: Killing the golden goose.

YOUNG BEN SCHOOLS RINOS:  David Brooks is a definitive RINO reporter for NYTimes.

A FAMOUS DEMOCRAT DOING WHAT DEMOCRATS DO BEST:  Which is to say: LIE AND DISTORT.

TESLA TAX BREAKS: Crony capitalism once again.

JIM WEBB TALKED ABOUT THIS IN DEBATE: About the only interesting thing to come up in last night's dem debate.

THE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD: Put a community organizer in charge and this is what you get

WHAT? MORE HYPOCRISY FROM THE NYTIMES? Yup. Another lefty screed from Carlos's employees. Wonder if he orders this stuff?

THIS SI FOR THOSE WHO DENY MEDIA BIAS: Which can't be many at this point in time.

DURANTY, MAPES, AND RATHER, BIRDS OF A FEATHER:Wonderful quote from Malcolm Muggeriidge at the end.
