A BLUEPRINT FOR CONSERVATIVES: It's impossible to argue with this plan of action. What may be impossible is executing it.
WHAT CANTOR'S LOSS MEANS:It is hard to argue with this interpretation of circumstances surrounding Eric Cantor's defeat in Virginia.
SO THIS IS WHAT ITS COME TO IN THE MIDDLE EAST:Sadly this is what you get when you cut and run in geopolitical terms.
AFRAID THIS IS ALL TOO TRUE:This goober appears to be a simple produce of permissive parents and society. Shame anthem both.

THE WHEELS ARE COMING OFF. This administration is definitely coming unglued.. There is no hiding from the fact that everything these people touch has turned to detritus, to put it politely. All this is proof that sooner or later lies catch up with leaders movements. Since a lie is based on falsehood it cannot stand the test of time. This administration, from its leader to its followers, have perpetrated one lie after another on the American public in order to foster programs and plans that cannot win the support of the independent thinkers who refuse to go along with those who want to be led. What we have in this article by Fernandez and in the comments of the thinking people that follows, is a clear statement of why the Liberal Movement is floundering. As a secular religion, which is what Liberalism is, it has nothing of sustaining value to support it. There simply is no there, there.
AND NOW I KNOW WHAT BUNKUM IS: It is a putative but faux conservative pundit telling us why we need big government..
ON WHAT'S GOING ON IN IRAQ. This will not come to a happy ending considering the ship of fools making decisions in the WH on our behalf.

THEY'RE TURNING AGAINST HIM ONE BY ONE. sevverywhereNever thought I'd ever agree with Norm Chomsky, of all people, but here's a message from Norm to all his mushy thinking liberal friends that will probably blow what's left of their collective mind. I'm putting all this in an open letter to libs everywhere:
Dear libs,
You know who you are from Warren Buffett, to all the stars and starlets, and producers and directors in Hollywood, and of course everyone else who voted for this one man wrecking crew called Obama. Norm returns to sanity long enough to get a glimpse of reality, listen up:
“In other ways too, the constitutional lawyer in the White House seems determined to demolish the foundations of our civil liberties. The principle of the presumption of innocence, which dates back to Magna Carta 800 years ago, has long been dismissed to oblivion.”
All this adds up to a system that George Orwell would’ve been incapable of envisioning as “Nothing so ambitious was imagined by the dystopian prophets of grim totalitarian worlds ahead.”
And like the totalitarian government in “1984,” this apparatus is designed ... to defend state power from the threat of an unruly domestic population and make transparency a one-way street between the government and its private citizens.

“It is of no slight import that the project is being executed in one of the freest countries in the world, and in radical violation of the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights, which protects citizens from ‘unreasonable searches and seizures,’ and guarantees the privacy of their persons, houses, papers and effects”.
“Much as government lawyers may try, there is no way to reconcile these principles with the assault on the population revealed in the Snowden documents.”

As you know old Norm is the liberal's Liberal. When he abandons ship, what's left for you guys? What am I talking about? There's still Harry and Nancy and the rest of the liberal gang, like AlGore and what's his name, you know Edwards, John Edwards who has reopened his old ambulance-chasing legal shop and will be back making millions with his bogus law suits. Nice friends you have there.
If you're not offended by the Bergdahl affair you'll probably write old Norm off as a demented old fool. Just for the record what Obama did in the Bergdahl affair was to trade a known Army deserter for five incorrigible Jihadi madmen leaders during a time of war on the grounds we leave no soldiers behind, unless of course they're dead like the four Americans in Benghazi. Now remember libs, we are still at war in Afghanistan and will be for at least two more years. Bergdahl took a hike on his buddies over five years ago. So what's with leaving him behind for five years and suddenly right now deciding to not leave him behind although we're committed to this war for two more years. Why now instead of one to five years ago? Doesn't this sound a bit fishy to you guys? Probably not. Could it have had something to do with changing the increasingly negative media narrative from the VA/Benghazi/IRS et al messes and throwing some chum out there for the media lackeys to feast on. Like your favorite NYTimes ace reporter Walter Duranty, we know they take any bait as long as it come from the WH and our Dear Leader.
I could go on about your Dear Leader's ignoring laws he doesn't want to enforce (immigration, healthcare, etc.) and creating edicts on his own (35 changes to the ACA, etc), starting a war and overthrowing a dictator (Lybia and Gaddafi) without Congressional approval, and so forth, buts what's the point. You guys never learn until it's too late.
A COUPLE OF DOPPELGANGERS LEAD THE DEMOCRAT PARTY: It's about time to write obituaries on the Democrat Party, the Progressive Movement, and its putative leaders. This opinion piece goes a long way towards accomplishing exactly that. What's shocking about these two frauds is that at least 50% of the voters approve of them as leaders, a fact that speaks to what is occurring in the country today. They are testimony to the failure of our society to educate its members in the timeless values that made the United States of America the leading force for good in the world all of its history of 240 years. Yes there were some retrograde moments along the way, but never with evil intent, and always corrected in the full light of an open, free society. The Democrat Party/Progressive Movement is comprised of a collection of narcissistic dreamers whose vision for any society would lead to its destruction. While many if not most Republican leaders don't have a clue why these Progressives are destructive, fortunately there a handful of Conservatives who understand the damage these people can and are doing and are calling them out on it on a regular basis. Short of Fox News, a handful of print and online magazines, a few brilliant blogs and bloggers and of course Talk Radio, the so-called Mainstream Media is comprised of Progressives who don't have a clue themselves and spend the bulk of their stories covering for the inchoate proscriptions of the incoherent leadership. Political correctness is but a symptom of the underlying disease infecting our society today. Because the liberal/Progressive philosophy promotes equal outcomes and social justice over achievements their movement does not believe in Capitalism. The idea promoted over and over by Progressives that in order to achieve equality of opportunity everyone should have a college degree. This idea alone is responsible for many of our society's disorders. Force feeding a college education for thousands of young people with no aptitude for processing ideas, no potential for critical thinking, lowering college entrance standards to accommodate this cohort, and offering feel good, undemanding courses taught in many cases by ideologues rather than serious scholars, is not a proscription for a vital, achievement directed society. It is rather a proscription for a society of alienated people with expectations that lead to frustration.

PERSECUTION AND PROSECUTION IN COLORADO: Here's one for the book.

Baker forced to make gay wedding cakes, undergo sensitivity training, after losing lawsuit

A family owned bakery has been ordered to make wedding cakes for gay couples and guarantee that its staff be given comprehensive training on Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws after the state’s Civil Rights Commissiondetermined the Christian baker violated the law by refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.
Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, in Lakewood, Colorado was directed to change his store policies immediately and force his staff to attend the training sessions. For the next two years, Phillips will also be required to submit quarterly reports to the commission to confirm that he has not turned away customers based on their sexual orientation.
“They are turning people of faith into religious refugees. ... Is this the society that we want to live in – where people of faith are driven out of business?”
- Nicolle Martin, attorney, Alliance Defending Freedom
Think of it as reverse conversion therapy (or straight man’s rehab) so that the state can mandate diversity through conformity.
The plight of Jack Phillips and his family is something I write about in my new book, “God Less America.” His story of religious persecution is one of many that I document.
Nicolle Martin, an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, called the ruling Orwellian and said they are considering an appeal.
“They are turning people of faith into religious refugees,” Martin told me. “Is this the society that we want to live in – where people of faith are driven out of business?”
Martin said it was “truly frightening” that Phillips will be forced to submit quarterly reports to the government disclosing whether he turned away any wedding cake business.
“There will be some reporting requirements so that Jack can demonstrate that he doesn’t exercise his belief system anymore – that he has divested himself of his beliefs,” she said.
He will also be required to create new policies and procedures for his staff.
“There will be some reporting requirements so that Jack can demonstrate that he doesn’t exercise his belief system anymore – that he has divested himself of his beliefs,” she said.
He will also be required to create new policies and procedures for his staff.
“We consider this reporting to be aimed at rehabilitating Jack so that he has the right thoughts,” Martin said. “That’s offensive to everything America stands for.”
Phillips, who is celebrating his 40th year in business this week, told me he’s not going to create any new policies.
“My old ones are pretty adequate as far as I’m concerned,” he said. “I don’t plan on giving up my faith and changing because of that.”
The controversy started in 2012 when a gay couple asked Phillips to make their wedding cake. Phillips politely declined, saying he could not make a cake promoting a same-sex ceremony because of his faith. He offered to make them any other baked item they wanted.
Charlie Craig and David Mullins filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission alleging they were discriminated against because of their sexual orientation. For the record, same-sex marriage is against the law in Colorado.
The commission affirmed a civil court’s ruling that the bakery cannot discriminate against persons in a public place based on sexual orientation.
“You can have your beliefs, but you can’t hurt other people at the same time,” Commission Chairwoman Katina Banks told The Denver Channel.
ACLU attorney Amanda Goad, who heads up the organization’s LBGT group, heralded the ruling.
“Religious freedom is undoubtedly an important American value, but so is the right to be treated equally under the law free from discrimination,” she said in a statement.
No, my dear. Religious freedom is a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT.
“Everyone is free to believe what they want, but businesses like Masterpiece Cakeshop cannot treat some customers differently than others based on who they are as people,” Goad added.
David Mullins, one of the two men who brought the lawsuit against Phillips, was thrilled with the ruling.
David Mullins, one of the two men who brought the lawsuit against Phillips, was thrilled with the ruling.
“What should have been a happy day for us turned into a humiliating and dehumanizing experience because of the way we were treated,” he said in an ACLU statement.
Who knew butter cream frosting could cause such angst?
“No one should ever have to walk into a store and wonder if they will be turned away just because of who they are,” Mullins added.
But that’s not what Phillips did. He was more than willing to make them a cupcake.
“Jack doesn’t turn people away,” Martin told me. “There are just some events that he won’t lend his artistry to.”
The ACLU accused Masterpiece Cakeshop of considering itself above the law.
“Everyone who shops in our stores and conducts business in our state should be treated with equality and dignity,” attorney Paula Greisen said in an ACLU of Colorado statement. “That’s what this ruling was about.”
No ma’am, it was not. That ruling was about bullying – bullying Christians.
“There’s a collision between religious liberty and the gay rights movement,” Martin told me.
“This collision is coming to the forefront almost every day. Somebody is losing their liberty, their job or both.”
But thank goodness for someone like Jack Phillips, who refused to capitulate to the government’s demands.
“My God is bigger than any bullies they’ve got,” he said. “I don’t worry about it. I honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and be true to what He wants me to do.”
And the Civil Rights Commission is going to have a mighty hard time trying to “rehabilitate” Phillips and his staff.
“My 87-year-old mom works here and she says she’s not being rehabilitated,” he said.
Martin said the Alliance Defending Freedom will “continue to stand with Jack against overreach and tyranny by the state.”
“Jack has gone out on a limb and taken this stand – and not capitulated to the government’s demands,” she said. “That speaks volumes about him.”
And should the highest court in the land force Jack to do the bidding of homosexuals?
“There’s civil disobedience,” Phillips told me. “We’ll see what happens. I’m not giving up my faith. Too many people have died for this faith to give it up that easily.”
Meanwhile, the bullying tactics of the militant gay rights community have not hampered the bakery’s bottom line. They’ve gotten so much business from the sales of cookies and brownies, they’ve temporarily stopped making wedding cakes.
“Obey Christ rather than worry about what man can do to you,” Phillips said.
There you have it, folks. In Colorado, you can’t have your cake and religious beliefs, too.

THIS IS EDUCATION REFORM?? We have here an excellent job of reporting. It remains the case that no matter how much money is thrown at public education, the unions are going to prevent any serious reform to a horribly broken system and institutions presumably there to educate citizens at public expense. We still have the issue of single parent families (not discussed in this article) and the total absence of a home environment conducive to furthering students' learning. In the absence of this all important aspect of educating a child, the school administration attempts to fill this void with counselors, advisors, consultants all of whom provide their assistance during normal school hours alone, the time when students are meant to be learning in the classroom. There is also the issue of unqualified and even corrupt teachers protected by the unions. In all likelihood the majority of inner school teachers are unqualified and should be fired as their "work" is more likely counterproductive. Yet they are protected by the unions and continue to add to the problem. Regrettably no amount of money can produce results in this environment, as Zuckerman has found out the hard way to the tune of 100,000,000 dollars. The answer here is pass a law restricting unions to a very minor role in the process, fire all incompetent teachers, rid schools of the gangs and bad actors by putting them in reform schools, impose rigid discipline on the rest of the students including wearing uniforms and privatize the entire process. Won't ever happen, of course. The rot will continue and the underclass will grow, the individuals involved will be shortchanged and the country will continue to fund this existing mess because it honors local control by citizens of their children's' education. Works as long as the citizens are responsible and educated themselves.
